INK 2025 AUDITIONS
Thank you for agreeing to audition for INK Festival
INK Festival is in Halesworth, Suffolk on 24-28 April 2025
The INK Festival will showcase around 70 new short plays. You will be cast in a POD which will consist of around 4 new plays with 3 – 4 other actors. You will have the opportunity of playing numerous roles. Plays are repeated at least twice every day, each day!
Please do not focus on preparing one or two pieces but make yourself familiar with a selection of extracts within your ‘playing age’ – not your actual age – as you may be asked to read from several during your audition. We welcome variety (e.g accents), as you will be playing a number of characters if you are cast. Don’t worry abut giving a perfect read, just go for it!
An important note on rehearsals! If you are considered for David’s plays, he is currently planning on rehearsing INK part time from w/c 24 March 2025 because he’s opening another show which tours w/c 14 April. If potential actors are only available for an intensive rehearsal the week prior to the festival, then that isn’t going to work. Rehearsals will be one or two days (maximum) per week, London based and during the daytimes.
The names in front of each piece, are the names of the directors.

London – Tuesday 21 January – Thursday 23 January 2025
Theatre Deli, 107 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A 4AF – close to Liverpool Street Station.
Suffolk – Saturday 25 January
The Cut, Halesworth, Suffolk, IP19 8BY – 2 minutes walk from train station.
Rehearsals:
Will be coordinated with the other actors and the director in your POD of plays during March/April but you’ll be needed in Halesworth from approximately Monday 21 April 2025. But you may be asked to arrive any time between Friday 18 April and Sunday 20 April, to accommodate technical rehearsals.
