Autumn Online Script Writing Courses


INK is offering two online Script Writing Courses starting this autumn.

They are FREE of charge & include readings by professional actors, funded by generous support from Old Possums Practical Trust.

Scripts created from these workshops will automatically be considered for INK Festival 2024.


On-line Script Writing Courses


On-line Course 1 – On Google Hangout

Group Leader: Greg Mosse

Greg Mosse is a ‘writer & encourager of writers’, author of 25 plays (two of which he co-produced with INK) and two novel series, THE COMING DARKNESS and MURDER AT CHURCH LODGE.

Some experience of writing live drama is required.

The goal will be that each participant creates and revises through two or three drafts a complete short dramatic script of between 15 and 20 minutes. (No monologues) that professional actors will “perform” on-line at the end of the course.

Dates: Mondays – September 18, 25  October 2, 9 16, 23

Time: 18.30

Length: 50 minutes per session

Numbers: 4 places

Participants will work creatively together, chosen by INK.

Course Entry Requirements and to Register : Access to internet. Also, please submit 2 sides of a script, plus synopsis of piece (maximum 50 words) and up to 50 words about your writing experience by August 28th to  




On-line Course 2 – On Zoom

Course Leader: Jackie Carreira

Jackie Carreira is a playwright, novelist and co-founder of QuirkHouse Theatre Company. Originally from East London she has lived in Suffolk since 2006. She has twice been a winner of The Kenneth Branagh Award for New Drama and was runner-up in the Audience Choice Award at the Brighton Fringe Festival. Her plays have been performed across the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and Australia.

The course aims to encourage new and aspiring writers to have the confidence to get their words from the page to the stage to produce a five-minute duologue which professional actors will “perform” on-line.
