Mark Steel
Mark Steel is an English author, broadcaster, stand-up comedian, and newspaper columnist. Known for his satirical comedy, he has appeared on shows like Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, and Room 101, and presented The Mark Steel Lectures and Mark Steel’s In Town. Steel writes regular columns for The Guardian, The Independent, and Daily Mirror, and has authored books including Reasons to Be Cheerful and Vive la Révolution.
Steel's comedy is often influenced by his political views and personal experiences, including his adoption, which he documented in the 2021 audiobook Who Do I Think I Am?. He won the British Press Award for Broadsheet Columnist in 2014 and has received multiple accolades for his radio and TV work.
