Josie Rourke
Josie Rourke is an English theatre and film director, best known for serving as artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse (2012–2019) and directing the historical drama Mary Queen of Scots (2018), starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. She began her career assisting leading directors before becoming artistic director of the Bush Theatre (2007–2011), where she championed new playwrights. Rourke has also directed for the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, and West End. In film and TV, she has worked on Talking Heads (2020) and Rhythm of Life (2021). She is a vice-president of the London Library.
