Greg Mosse

Greg Mosse is the founder and leader of the Criterion New Writing script development programme at the Criterion Theatre in London, where he provides free script development opportunities to a diverse group of writers, actors, and directors.

Since 2015, Greg has written and produced 25 plays and musicals, often in collaboration. Alongside Lou Doye, he co-founded Doye Mosse Productions, creating and financing a wide array of traditional, virtual reality, and augmented reality storytelling experiences.

During the coronavirus lockdowns, Greg wrote two-and-a-half novels, with The Coming Darkness being the first to be published.

After earning a degree in Drama and English from Goldsmiths College, Greg began his career in fringe theatre before moving to Paris, where he continued working in theatre and trained as an interpreter. His journey took him to New York, Los Angeles, and Madrid. Later, Greg spent a decade in comprehensive inner-city education, before joining forces with his wife, Kate Mosse, to develop the innovative readers-and-writers website mosselabyrinth.co.uk—a pioneering platform that helped shape online community-building techniques used today.

Greg and Rachel Holmes also co-created the Southbank Centre Creative Writing School, an open-access evening class program offering MA-level workshops. Additionally, Greg developed and validated his own MA in Creative Writing, which he taught for four years at the University of Sussex's West Dean College. He has delivered highly successful writing workshops for notable organizations such as Guardian Masterclasses, the Edinburgh Book Festival, Cheltenham Festival, and Chichester Festival Theatre, among many others.
