Lucy Kirkwood

Lucy Kirkwood FRSL is a British playwright and screenwriter, known for plays such as Chimerica (2013) and The Children (2016). Raised in East London, she studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. Her work often explores political and social themes, earning her an Olivier Award and a Tony nomination. She has also written for television, including Chimerica (2019) and Adult Material (2020). In 2023, she was announced as the writer of a new musical adaptation of The Witches for the National Theatre.
