EASTER HOLIDAY COURSES: 12-16 YEARS

An extended creative course to encourage young actors and budding writers to come together and create imaginative short productions around the theme of Magical Thinking.

12-16 years: work with scripted excerpts connected by their own devised work

Ever wondered how actors turn a script into a real, living character? Jump into our 2026 Easter Holiday Acting Course and level up your performance skills. You’ll get hands‑on experience with scripts chosen to suit you, while learning:

Smart ways to memorise lines
Ways to inhabit characters physically
Techniques to make characters feel real
The basics of stagecraft that every performer should know

Perfect for anyone who loves acting, wants to boost their confidence, or just wants to try something new and fun.

Led by experienced drama facilitators/directors, the group will create and rehearse the pieces during the Easter holidays, refining their performance during the festival weekend and perform on The Rifle Hall Stage on Sunday 19th April at 11am. Participants should bring their own drinks/snacks and a packed lunch.

Wear suitable loose clothing and footwear for ease of movement.

Participants must sign up for the course and the Festival weekend as they will be working towards a final performance
